EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is the direct, application-to-application transmission of business documents such as purchase orders, invoices, planning reports, remittance advice and many others. If you can send your data this way, we do not have to re-enter it into our system thus reducing the delays and errors that accompany manual processing.

EDI Alternatives – If your company does not have a full blown EDI system, Slidematic has developed many alternatives to EDI:

– We can work with you to exchange data via the Internet.

– We can accept Spreadsheets, Text files, XML files, etc…

– We can allow you direct access to our system.

– We can email or fax reports to you. – We can use your company’s FTP site.

Automatic Reporting System

Slidematic has a full line of reports to aid you in your daily fastener purchasing. These reports are automatically generated and EMAILED to you at any interval you desire. Do you need a report that we don’t have? We can customize any reports to your specific requirements – usually in a day or two! Reports can be FAXED instead of emailed upon request.

Bar Coding

Slidematic can accommodate any type of bar code requirements you may have. All products are shipped with a default AIAG format.

Electronic Process Monitoring

Slidematic uses technology to monitor each blow on a cold header to ensure quality product.

SLIDEMATIC can offer you many different forms of automated reporting to help keep you on top of your game. Here are some Examples:

•Data Uploads – We can send you data containing inventory numbers that you can merge with your system.
•We can use EDI to allow our computers to talk and leave us out of it!
•We can forecast your usage based on past history.

Emailed Status Reports

SLIDEMATIC has a full line of automatically generated reports to aid you in your daily fastener purchasing. These reports are automatically EMAILED to your location at any interval you desire. Do you need a report that we don’t have? We can customize any reports to your specific requirements – usually in a day or two! Reports can be FAXED instead of emailed upon request. Here is a sample of the available reports:

ASN (Advanced Shipment Notice): This report will contain the prior business day’s shipments.

Order Status Report: This report will show all of your open orders including status: ADD, CHG, DEL, Ship To location, notes if promise date cannot be met.

Order/Inventory Report: Shows all order releases along with SLIDEMATIC inventory levels and customer usage statistics.

Inventory Status: Shows all parts currently with SLIDEMATIC, current inventory levels, parts in-process and due dates.

Ageing Report: Shows all outstanding invoices by days outstanding.

Pricing Summary: Lists all of a customer’s parts with pricing and all quoted quantity breaks.

Shipment History: Generated weekly to show shipments from the previous week.

Promise Report: Shows all open orders by customer request date.

Inventory Forecast: Looks at your previous shipment history and your current open orders. Based on this information any possible shortages will be reported to you.

Shipping History Corporate: This report is for customers with several different divisions. The report will summarize the history for all the divisions.

Packing Lists: Copies of packing lists for a given time frame. Some customers schedule this daily to see when parts have been shipped.

Consignment Shipment Detail: For customers with parts on consignment. This report will detail part movement into and out of the consignment inventory.

Vision Sorting


In Late 2012 with Customer’s demand for 100% Quality Slidematic audited our outside vision sorting contractors; we determined that for continuous improvement we would have to increase our internal vision sorting capacity as well as expand our capabilities. Since converting the majority (over 95%) of our vision sorted parts to our internal processes we have not had a defect reach our customers with an inspected dimension.

A majority of our machines incorporate telecentric lenses for the highest accuracy. Along with the latest in PC Hardware and our highly customizable software we are able to sort for features throughout the entirety of your part. Some of the most basic inspections involve Lengths (Overall, Under Head, Head Height) and Diameters (Head, Major, Minor, Patch Verification). We also have the capability to verify Helix Angle, Punch Penetration and other features based on the parts requirement.

Slidematic also has a rigorous boundary sample program in place that verifies our equipment at pre-determined time intervals. Real part samples are created that represent the upper and lower limits of dimensions to use during this testing process. We then log these results which become tied with the Lot Number should a need to reference that data arise.
