The customer had issues with contaminated product reaching their automated assembly machines along with using multiple suppliers to keep up with their demand. Slidematic used existing equipment along with purchasing new equipment to consolidate nearly 100 different sized rivets to us. Over 18 months we supplied 350 Million semi-tubular rivets and were awarded the first and only Certified Supplier status for fasteners. Through the addition of extra quality audits we achieved better concentricity then with past suppliers and along with adding wax to the part we increased quality and reduced downtime at their factory.
