Our Precision Manufacturing Facility Located in Rockford, IL
Slidematic’s 226,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility is located in Rockford, IL. In total, our operation encompasses nearly 1/2 million sq. ft. of streamlined production space.
Our primary cold heading and CNC machining facility is located on a parcel with 40 acres of buildable land, allowing room for continued growth and future expansion. A major facility development was completed in June 2015 with the addition of 30,000 sq. ft., divided into three segments to house Raw Material, Transfer Headers, and our secondary Driller department.
Most recently, in late 2025, Slidematic opened a 46,000 sq. ft. addition to further expand its manufacturing footprint. This expansion provides additional production space, improves day-to-day operational efficiency, and supports continued growth. The project reflects Slidematic’s long-term investment in Rockford, its employees, and the region’s manufacturing legacy as the Screw Capital of the World.
Streamlined Inventory Control via Our 140,000 Sq. Ft. Logistic Warehouse in Rockford, IL
To maintain our commitment to superior on-time delivery to our customers, our logistics warehouse was relocated in September 2014 to a renovated 140,000 sq. foot building. This replaced our previous 55,000 sq. foot warehouse that was bursting at the seams.
Along with transferring the inventory, we also relocated the Final Inspection division of our QC department, Shipping and Receiving departments, Product Packaging lines and our Hand and Vision Inspection departments in just 4 days!
